Understanding the Platform
Learn how Slash2 works, from matchmaking to payments, and how it relates to in-game LFG systems.
What is Slash2?
Slash2 is a platform that connects players who want to be boosted (clients) with players who provide boosts (boosters) for Mythic+ dungeons and Raids. Unlike other boosting services, Slash2:
- Uses only in-game gold: No real money transactions
- No platform fees: Payment is split equally among all 4 boosters
- TOS-compliant: Everything follows Blizzard's Terms of Service
- Fair matchmaking: FIFO queue for clients, weighted random for boosters
Core Concepts
Clients
Clients are players who want to complete Mythic+ dungeons or book raid slots. They:
- Submit requests with their key level, dungeon preference, and availability
- Enter a FIFO (First In, First Out) queue
- Get matched automatically with available boosters
- Pay boosters before the run starts (split equally among all 4 boosters)
Boosters
Boosters are players who provide boosting services. They:
- Add their characters via Raider.IO URLs
- Join the booster queue when their characters are active
- Get matched with clients using weighted random selection
- Receive their equal share of the payment (split among all 4 boosters, no platform fees)
Guild Admins
Guild admins manage raid listings for their guilds. They:
- Submit guild applications for approval
- Create and manage raid listings
- Set prices and requirements for raid slots
- Can assign Booster Tier 1 passes to guild members (with paid tiers)
How Matchmaking Works
For Clients: FIFO Queue
Clients are matched using a First In, First Out (FIFO) queue system. This means:
- The first client to submit a request is the first to get matched
- No priority, no favoritism - everyone gets a fair turn
- You can see your position in the queue
- Matching happens automatically when a booster becomes available
This is similar to how you might wait in line for a dungeon group in-game - first come, first served.
For Boosters: Weighted Random Selection
Boosters are selected using weighted random selection. This means:
- All active boosters have a chance to be selected
- Subscription tiers provide better weighting (more chances)
- Higher tier boosters are more likely to be matched, but it's not guaranteed
- The system ensures active boosters get opportunities
This is different from a pure random system - it gives active, subscribed boosters better chances while still being fair to everyone.
Payment System
Gold-Only Transactions
All payments on Slash2 use in-game gold only. This means:
- No real money is involved
- No credit cards, PayPal, or other payment methods
- Everything happens in-game
- Fully TOS-compliant with Blizzard's policies
Direct Payment
When a client and booster complete a run:
- They meet in-game at the agreed time
- Client pays boosters before the run starts (total amount split equally among all 4 boosters)
- Complete the dungeon or raid
- Transaction is complete
No middleman, no platform fees - each booster receives their equal share of the payment.
Why This Matters
- TOS Compliance: Blizzard allows gold transactions between players
- No Account Sharing: You never share your account information
- Transparency: Direct payment means you know exactly what you're paying/receiving
- Simplicity: No complex payment processing or fees
Subscription Tiers
For Clients
For Boosters
Note: Subscriptions improve chances but don't guarantee selection or affect gold payout.
For Guilds
