Is Slash2 allowed under Blizzard's rules?
Slash2 is an external website. We operate entirely outside the World of Warcraft game client. We don't run inside WoW, we don't advertise in game, and we don't hold gold or provide escrow. Coordination happens on our website; gold trades happen manually between players after gameplay, as allowed by Blizzard. You are responsible for following Blizzard's Terms of Service. We encourage you to read Blizzard's policies and use Slash2 in a way that complies with them.
Is this real-money trading?
No. Boosting payments on Slash2 are in-game gold only. Clients pay boosters directly with gold. There are no real-money trades inside WoW. Optional platform subscriptions (e.g. ad-free experience, booster selection weighting) are purchased with real money on our website, but those do not change how boosting is paid—boosters still receive 100% of the gold from clients.
Do I need to advertise boosts in game?
No. You may not advertise, solicit, or operate boosting services inside in-game chat or in-game UI. All coordination happens on the Slash2 website. Clients place requests here; boosters are matched via our queue. You do not need to spam or advertise in WoW to use Slash2.
Does Slash2 operate inside WoW?
No. Slash2 is an external website and marketplace. We do not run inside the World of Warcraft game client. There is no in-game advertising, no in-game escrow, and no bots or automation in WoW. We coordinate players on our site; gameplay is performed by players in the game.
Does Slash2 hold gold or provide escrow?
No. Slash2 does not hold gold or provide escrow. When a run is completed, the client pays the booster(s) directly with in-game gold. The trade happens manually between players. Boosters keep 100% of the gold; Slash2 takes no cut.
Can I get banned for using Slash2?
Slash2 is designed to work outside the game client with gold-only payments and no in-game advertising or escrow. We cannot speak for Blizzard's enforcement decisions. You are responsible for following Blizzard's Terms of Service. Use Slash2 in a way that complies with game rules.
How do boosters get paid?
Clients pay boosters directly with in-game gold after the run is completed. Slash2 does not process or hold gold. Boosters receive 100% of the payment—Slash2 takes no cut. Payment is manual between the client and the booster(s) in game.
What happens if something goes wrong?
If you have an issue with a match (e.g. payment or completion), you can report it from your dashboard or match history. Our team will review reported issues. Disputes about in-game gold are ultimately between the client and the booster or guild; Slash2 is not responsible for payment disputes or refunds of gold.
Why isn't pricing discussed in Discord?
Pricing and all coordination for boosts are handled on the Slash2 website. Discord is for support and community only, not for arranging runs or negotiating prices. Keeping everything on the site keeps the process clear, consistent, and compliant.
Why is everything handled on the website?
We keep requests, matchmaking, and coordination on the Slash2 website so that nothing happens in-game except normal gameplay and gold transfer between players. That keeps the process transparent, fair (e.g. FIFO queue), and aligned with how external platforms are expected to operate. Discord is for support and community only.
How does the matchmaking system work?
Clients are matched using a first-in, first-out (FIFO) queue—no payment-based priority. Boosters are selected according to the platform’s published rules (e.g. weighted selection by subscription tier where applicable). Free-tier boosters remain eligible for all matches. All boosters receive 100% of the gold from clients.
Do I need to pay to use Slash2?
Slash2 is free to use for clients, boosters, and guilds. Clients can place requests in the FIFO queue at no charge. Boosters can participate for free and earn gold directly from clients. Guilds can create basic raid listings for free. Optional paid subscriptions (e.g. ad-free, selection weighting, guild features) are never required to use the platform.
How do I become a booster?
Sign up, complete onboarding, and choose the Booster role. Add your characters (e.g. via Raider.IO URL), set them as active in the queue, and you’ll be eligible for matches. No subscription is required—you can participate for free and receive 100% of the gold from clients.
How do I become a guild admin?
Sign up, complete onboarding, and choose the Guild Admin role. Submit a guild application with your guild details, WarcraftLogs URL, and representative character information. Once approved, you can create and manage raid listings on the site.
Can I be a client, booster, and guild admin at the same time?
Yes. You can have multiple roles. During onboarding you can select both Booster and Guild Admin. Everyone can also use client features (requesting M+ runs or booking raids) regardless of role.
What if I need to cancel a request?
You can cancel a request before it’s matched from your dashboard. After a request is matched, cancellation is subject to the relevant run or booking terms. If you run into trouble with a matched request, contact support.
